Cloud Engineer
For our business partner, one of the major and fastest growing Romanian companies specialized in integrating complex IT&C infrastructure and security solutions, we are hiring a Cloud Engineer in Bucharest.
Role: Installation, configuration, and operationalization of OpenStack.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree;
- Advanced knowledge of the English language;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);

Linux System Administration:
- Knowledge of Linux system administration, especially RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or other distributions. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in various environments (OS, services, containers, etc.). Networking:
- Understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, subnets, IP addressing, routing, and firewalls. Cloud Computing Concepts:
- A solid understanding of cloud computing principles (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS);
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as KVM or VMware;
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. OpenStack Fundamentals:
- Understanding of the architecture, components, and services of OpenStack;
- Ability to explain basic concepts such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Swift, Horizon, Heat, etc.;
- Practical experience in deploying, configuring, and managing OpenStack environments. SDN:
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and technologies such as Open vSwitch (OVS), OVN, and Neutron networks. Storage:
- Familiarity with different storage types supported by OpenStack, such as object storage (Swift), block storage (Cinder), and file storage (Manila);
- Experience integrating OpenStack with various storage solutions like Ceph or SAN/NAS. Automation and Orchestration:
- Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible for deploying and managing OpenStack environments;
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform or Heat. Security:
- Understanding of security practices for OpenStack deployments;
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and experience integrating OpenStack with LDAP, Active Directory, or other authentication mechanisms.
